# Regelmäßige Backups

Backups sind die letzte Verteidigungslinie eines Versicherten gegen Ransomware und destruktive Angriffe: Sie ermöglichen eine vollständige Wiederherstellung selbst dann, wenn der Rest des Informationssystems zerstört wird. Deshalb verlangt Stoïk von den Versicherten als Voraussetzung für den Versicherungsschutz, regelmäßige, robuste Backups vorzuhalten.

Die Mindestanforderung ist ein wöchentliches Backup der Daten und kritischen Elemente der Computersysteme des Versicherten, das offline oder unveränderlich aufbewahrt wird, damit es außerhalb der Reichweite eines Angreifers bleibt, der den Rest der Infrastruktur kompromittiert hat.

Bei einer Versicherungssumme von über 2 Millionen Euro müssen diese Backups außerdem dokumentiert und mindestens einmal jährlich getestet werden.
