# Active Directory-scan

De Active Directory-scan analyseert de configuratie van uw on-premises Active Directory met de PingCastle-tool en beoordeelt het beveiligingsniveau ervan.

Een Active Directory (AD) is een directoryservice van Microsoft-besturingssystemen. Hiermee kan de netwerkbeheerder gebruikers- en machineverificatie centraliseren, machtigingen beheren en de toegang tot netwerkbronnen controleren. Aanvallers die een bedrijf met een AD targeten, willen systeembeheerder worden: ze nemen dan alle werkstations en servers over.

## Wat de scan identificeert

De scan identificeert:

* Verouderde objecten: systemen die te oud of verouderd zijn.
* Te ruime vertrouwensrelaties.
* Te ruime gebruikersmachtigingen.
* Afwijkingen, zoals zwak wachtwoordbeleid.

De resultaten benadrukken potentiële kwetsbaarheden, geclassificeerd in vier niveaus: laag, gemiddeld, hoog en kritiek. Als een kwetsbaarheid wordt gedetecteerd, klik dan op elke foutieve configuratie om de herstelstappen te zien.
