Reporting suspicious emails
The Stoïk Report button lets you flag suspicious emails in one click, directly from your mailbox. This short guide walks you through what it is, how to use it, and what happens after you report.
About Stoïk
Stoïk is the cybersecurity company your employer works with to protect everyone in the team from cyberattacks. Phishing (fake emails that try to steal information, money, or credentials) is one of the most common threats today. The Stoïk Report button gives you a simple way to flag any email that looks suspicious, so your IT team can act on it.
What is the Stoïk Report button?
The Stoïk Report button is a small extension added to your Outlook or Gmail mailbox by your IT team. It looks like this:

It's there to help you protect yourself and your company from phishing. If an email looks suspicious (unusual sender, urgent tone, unexpected attachment, link asking you to log in), the safest thing to do is to report it instead of clicking, replying, or deleting it.
In most cases, the button will already be available in your mailbox. If it isn't, see the Install the extension yourself section at the end of this article.
How to report a suspicious email
Open the email you find suspicious (Outlook on desktop or web).
In the email toolbar, click the Report Phishing button.
Confirm you want to report the email.
That's it. You'll see a confirmation message right away.
Open the email you find suspicious (Gmail on a chrome-based desktop browsers)
At the top of the email, click the Stoïk Report icon.
Confirm you want to report the email.
That's it. You'll see a confirmation message right away.
What happens after you click Report?
Stoïk analyzes the email and tells you immediately what we found:
If the email was part of a Stoïk phishing simulation sent by your IT team to train employees → great catch! You'll see a short message explaining the warning signs you spotted.
If the email is real → it's forwarded to your IT or security team for review. They'll determine whether it's an actual threat and take the right action.
Either way, you don't have to do anything else. Reporting is the safest action you can take when something feels off.
Install the extension yourself
If you don't see the Report button in your mailbox, your IT team may not have deployed it automatically. You can install it yourself in two minutes.
Open the Stoïk Report add-in on Microsoft AppSource.
Click Get it now and follow Microsoft's instructions to add it to your Outlook account.
Reload Outlook, the Report Phishing button will appear in the email toolbar.
Open the Stoïk Report — Phishing extension on the Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
Reload Gmail, the Report button will appear at the top of every email.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Report button after installing. Try reloading Gmail or restarting Outlook. For Outlook desktop, the add-in can take a few minutes to sync.
I reported an email by mistake. No problem. Just continue using your inbox as normal. Reporting a legitimate email has no impact on your account.
The button doesn't open the confirmation. Check that you're using the latest version of Chrome (for Gmail) or Outlook. If the issue persists, contact your IT team.
