Linux

If you want to deploy the EDR on a large scale, we recommend starting with a manual test installation on a few endpoints.

1

Download the installer

The package is only available from Stoïk Protect: go to MDR > Settings, click Linux, then click Download the executable. Come back here once it's downloaded to continue the installation.

2

Find your customer ID

Go to MDR > Settings and copy your customer ID.

3

Install CrowdStrike

  1. Install the package:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Amazon Linux, Oracle, RHEL:

sudo yum install <package_name>

Ubuntu, Debian:

sudo dpkg -i <package_name>

SLES:

sudo zypper install <package_name>
  1. Activate the sensor, replacing <customer_ID> with your customer ID:

sudo /opt/CrowdStrike/falconctl -s --cid=<customer_ID>
  1. Start the sensor:

systemctl start falcon-sensor
