macOS

If you want to deploy the EDR on a large scale, we recommend starting with a manual test installation on a few endpoints.

Download the installer

The executable is only available from Stoïk Protect: go to MDR > Settings, click macOS, then click Download the executable. Come back here once it's downloaded to continue the installation.

Find your customer ID

Go to MDR > Settings and copy your customer ID.

Install SentinelOne

Deploy the installer

  1. Launch the executable.

  2. Enter your customer ID in the Site token field.

  3. Click Continue.

Authorize Full Disk Access

Required if SentinelOne prompts you to authorize Full Disk Access after installation.

  1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access.

  2. Click the + button.

  3. Press Command+Shift+G to open the Go to Folder menu.

  4. Enter the path:

  1. Double-click the destination folder.

  1. Select the following applications and click Open:

    • sentineld.app

    • sentineld_helper.app

    • sentineld_shell.app

    If sentineld_shell.app does not appear in Full Disk Access, add it manually: click +, go to the same folder and select it.

  2. Close the window once they appear as activated in Full Disk Access.

  1. Save your customer ID to a file at: com.sentinelone.registration-token. Ensure it belongs to the root user:

  1. Run the installer, replacing the path with your downloaded executable:
